Students attending the adapted elementary school at Kuggebodaskolan in Ronneby municipality will be relocated to Kallingeskolan, according to recent reports. The education committee has decided that the special education program will be expanded at Kallingeskolan, with the move to be completed by the autumn term of 2027.
Committee chairperson Angelina Olin (M) stated that the decision involves expanding the adapted elementary school at Kallingeskolan. The relocation will be implemented gradually, with individual adjustments made for each student, rather than moving all students at once.

The Kuggebodaskolan facility had stood empty since 2016 before the first students began attending the adapted elementary school there in 2021. According to Olin, municipal officials had signaled that it would become difficult to meet school law requirements at Kuggebodaskolan in the long term, which contributed to the relocation decision.
What will happen to the Kuggebodaskolan building remains undecided and will be determined at a later date. The municipality plans to complete the transition by autumn 2027, at which point no students should remain at Kuggebodaskolan.
