A restoration of the sculpture "Gudinna vid hyperboreiskt hav" at Rådhustorget in Gävle, Sweden, is planned for 2026. The work aims to allow water to flow again in the basin around the sculpture, which has reportedly been dry for several summers due to a crack in the foundation. According to reports, the cost of the restoration is creating political division, with the Moderate Party proposing a cheaper sealing method using epoxy glue.
The sculpture, often colloquially called "Fnasket i plasket," was last seen with water in 2022.
