Region Skåne has reported a pediatric cardiologist who previously worked in Jönköping for serious medical errors, according to reports from Dagens Nyheter. The doctor, who now works at the Children's Heart Center in Lund, incorrectly declared 78 heart-sick children healthy during his time at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping. The errors were first highlighted by P4 Jönköping in autumn 2025.
According to Sydsvenskan, the doctor continued to make mistakes after moving to Lund in 2021, including prescribing wrong medication, missing follow-up appointments, and sending home children who were too sick. The clinic's own review revealed these additional errors in Lund. Region Skåne's formal report represents the latest development in the case against the criticized physician.
