According to an official statement released on March 3, 2026, the restaurant will transition from being operated directly by the region to being managed by an external partner. The primary plan involves initiating a procurement process to find a suitable external restaurant operator who can continue developing the restaurant business in the existing premises.

Following the procurement process, a business transition is planned, which means affected staff will transfer to the new operation. The background to the change includes altered guest behavior combined with increased food costs and inflation.
The goal is to sign an agreement with an external restaurant operator who can take over and further develop the business.
Before the pandemic, the economy was in reasonable balance, but conditions have changed. Restaurant Solsidan will continue its operations as usual until an external operator takes over the management.
