The Technical Committee decided to proceed with the construction of a new office building for Region Gotland's operations at Skarphäll, according to the region. The current pavilion at Skarphäll has deficiencies in indoor environment, ventilation, acoustics, and hygiene, the region said. The new building will be connected to the existing office premises to facilitate community and collaboration.

In a separate decision, the committee agreed to apply for an additional grant of 3.5 million SEK to complete remediation measures on Södervärnskolan's schoolyard. The remediation was completed in December 2025, but surfaces could not be restored during winter due to weather conditions, the region explained. Part of the work and delayed invoices need to be covered in the 2026 budget through the additional grant request.

The committee also received a presentation of Region Gotland's action plan for mental health and suicide prevention 2026–2030. A dialogue has been initiated on how the action plan can be used within the committee's various operational areas, the region said.
