The Islamic holy month of Ramadan has begun. At a large grocery store in Skäggetorp, Sweden, this means increased activity. Mustafa Naeemi, a store employee, says it is always busy every year during this period, with many customers buying more when they are hungry.
The store attracts many local residents by offering products that may not be available in regular chains. Essad Kamovic, working behind the meat counter, reports being very busy and tired but happy to be part of the celebration in some way. Customer Nimco Ahmed Ali describes the start of Ramadan as a bit tough but also very fun.
