Benjamin, the reigning world and Olympic champion in the 400 meters hurdles, will face a strong field including Sweden's Carl Bengtström and world number three Jacory Patterson, according to multiple reports. The Bauhaus-galan will take place at Stockholm Stadium on June 7. Benjamin said in a press release: "Last year there was an incredible atmosphere at the stadium. I look forward to opening the Diamond League season in Stockholm in the 400 meters." Bengtström added: "It will be incredibly inspiring to step over to the flat 400 meters and see how I measure up against some of the fastest in the world."
Julianna Jefferson-Wooden will also compete at the Bauhaus-galan. The American sprinter won three gold medals at the World Championships in Tokyo (100m, 200m, 4x100m) and holds personal bests of 10.61 in the 100m and 21.68 in the 200m, set at the 2023 World Championships.
