Multiple reports indicate that Adam Hayes, the caddie for professional golfer Jon Rahm, has listed his luxurious property for £10 million. The estate spans 100 acres and is located roughly 20 miles north-west of Charlotte, North Carolina. The residence itself measures 5,435 square feet and includes a 3,000-square-foot entertainment facility featuring a golf simulator, batting cage, gym, and wet bar. Hayes and his wife Brandy completed construction of the estate in 2021.
According to reports, the couple is relocating to be nearer their two sons' new school. Hayes has a history of property development, having constructed and sold two previous properties. The listing comes as LIV Golf faces financial uncertainty, with reports that Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) may not finance the league beyond the end of this year.
The lake is fantastic, but there were a lot of looky-loos coming around all the time. I just never felt like I could get away. I was kind of wanting something a little more secluded.
Jon Rahm's career earnings are approximately £70 million, boosted by his victory at the latest LIV Golf tournament in Mexico City. He signed a contract worth more than £200 million when he joined LIV Golf at the end of 2023. The league has received £4 billion in investment from PIF, but according to The Telegraph, players and staff have been informed that PIF funding is only guaranteed until the end of the current season. External investment would be required for LIV Golf to continue beyond the current season.
Speaking at a press conference, Jon Rahm addressed the uncertainty surrounding LIV Golf's future. According to multiple reports, Rahm said he did not worry about the rumours until those in charge confirmed their validity, noting that the news came out so quickly that he did not have time to be concerned. He added that normally, someone in the league knows something before rumours emerge, but this time it happened so fast that he did not really worry about it.
Until the people in charge told me if the rumours were valid or not, it didn't make sense for me to think about it or to waste time thinking about it. As everything suddenly came out, so quickly, I wasn't too worried about that, because normally, before the rumours come out, we know something. There's always someone in the league who knows something. It was so fast that I didn't really worry about it.
