Remeslo, who gave an interview to Ksenia Sobchak, known as Putin's goddaughter, said the change would be a quiet palace coup similar to Stalin's death in 1953. He claimed the root cause of Russia's problems is Putin himself and that the president's inner circle secretly hate him because he took away their benefits. Remeslo also said he wants to be a leader of a new Russia after a revolution and help transfer power.
He predicted profound changes by the end of 2026 to beginning of 2027. Separately, pro-Kremlin influencer Victoria Bonya recently warned Putin about Russia's economic crisis. The credibility of Remeslo's prediction remains unclear given his previous pro-Kremlin stance, and it is unknown how the Russian government will respond to his public statements.
