According to major media reports, Andrew Chadwick first noticed stiffness in his legs in January 2025. This stiffness led to a fall where he fractured his rib. Joanna Chadwick, his wife, initially suspected he might have a trapped nerve.

" Joanna Chadwick added, "Then he fell over again after he went to pick up a dog crate from Facebook Marketplace. " Andrew Chadwick was referred to hospital by a physio who said it was urgent. He underwent two weeks of hospital tests, though the specific tests conducted have not been disclosed.

Joanna Chadwick stated, "He spent two weeks in hospital doing tests, nobody was telling me anything. When Andrew got diagnosed with MND, I was devastated. I put my head in my hands and Andrew started crying, I couldn't speak.

" Motor neurone disease is a condition causing muscle weakness, potentially leading to breathing and swallowing difficulties, with signs including stiffness, walking problems, and muscle cramps, and typically reducing life expectancy. The exact prognosis for Andrew Chadwick's case is unknown. Since his diagnosis, Andrew Chadwick is now unable to walk unaided.

He takes two daily medications: Baclofen to relax muscles and ease leg stiffness, and Riluzole. It is not known if he is considering other treatments or clinical trials beyond these. Andrew Chadwick and his wife Joanna are fundraising for the MND Association, with Andrew planning a skydive in May, though the target amount has not been specified.

The progression of his condition since June 2025 remains unclear.
