Preparatory work has reportedly commenced for the Bergkvara bypass road project along road 504 between Torsås and Bergkvara in Sweden. According to Barometern-OT, orange and red markers have been placed at several locations along the route to identify sites for soil condition and groundwater investigations. Tobias Odebjer, identified as the project manager at Trafikverket (the Swedish Transport Administration), stated that preparations are underway for the road plan.
The markers reportedly indicate locations where ground conditions and groundwater will be examined as part of the planning process. It remains unclear whether the Bergkvara bypass project will be included in the government's upcoming decision on which projects will be part of the National Plan for Transport Infrastructure 2026-2037.
