People with post-COVID have an increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease, according to a new study. Researchers at the Karolinska Institute investigated how lingering health problems after a COVID-19 infection are linked to subsequent diseases in the cardiovascular system. 2 million people aged 18 to 65, of whom 9,000 had a diagnosis for post-COVID, with two-thirds being women.
