Polish short track skater Kamila Sellier, 25, has left the hospital after an injury at the Olympics. During the Games, she reportedly got American Kristen Santos-Griswold's skate in the eye, causing her protective glasses to fly off. She was stitched up beside the ice and taken to the hospital with half her face covered in blood, where she underwent facial surgery.

On social media, Sellier showed the glasses that she said probably saved her eye, along with photos of herself with flowers, her dog, and her partner. Separately, Russian-born Polish speed skater Vladimir Semirunnij, 23, has reportedly decided to change his name to a more Polish-sounding one, according to Supersport. He took silver for Poland in the 10,000 meters at the Olympics and said he wants to live in Poland, with no plans to return to Russia.

He did not reveal the new name, stating it is still under discussion.
