A police chase occurred in central Bollnäs, Sweden, on March 23. A patrol noticed a vehicle being driven on a pedestrian path and attempted a control, but the driver did not stop. During the pursuit, the vehicle hit a wall near the railway station and temporarily stopped.
When the patrol approached, the driver reversed into the police car multiple times before the chase resumed. The vehicle later collided with a tree. One person, a man in his 30s, was arrested at the scene.
No physical injuries were reported. The patrol filed a report for theft of a means of transport, aggravated drunk driving, aggravated reckless driving in traffic, aggravated unauthorized driving, minor drug offense, and failure to stop at a police signal. The driver is now detained, and the case is led by a prosecutor.
