A major police operation is underway on Söder in Huskvarna after a suspicious object was found in an apartment. Police were called to a multi-family house on Friday morning to assist an ambulance with a healthcare matter. When police entered the apartment, they found a suspicious object and could not assess if it was dangerous, so the national bomb protection unit was called to the scene.

The national bomb protection unit has been on site since half past nine. Two people, a woman in her 30s and a man in his 25s, were in the apartment when police arrived. Both are suspected of preparation for public destruction and crimes against the law on flammable and explosive goods, as well as drug offenses.

The man has been arrested.
