The police have identified several foreign criminal actors currently in Sweden who have previously been active in stealing these vehicles. Authorities advise owners to park in well-lit areas or garages, use alarms or surveillance cameras, and store keys securely.

They also recommend reporting suspicious individuals or vehicles to the police, calling 112 for ongoing crimes. The warning was issued by press spokesperson Mats Pettersson.
