A threat of a school shooting was discovered on Friday at Nordmarkens school in Årjäng, Sweden, and a police report was filed. The threat was found as graffiti in a toilet, stating a school shooting would occur on March 17. After an investigation, the police have closed the case, stating there is no substance to the threat.
Police spokesperson Gabriel Henning said the assessment was based on information gathering and work done so far. To create safety around the school, police will be present in the area on Tuesday. According to the municipality, guardians of students from preschool class through ninth grade were informed on Monday.
