Several people contacted authorities about hearing loud noises in a doorway in the area. Rescue services confirmed to SVT Stockholm that the incident involved some type of explosion.
'It has been some type of explosion,' said Lars Linderberg, rescue operator at the Greater Stockholm Fire Department. Police spokesperson Carina Skagerlind stated that multiple people had called about hearing bangs in a doorway and that authorities were working to gather more information. Rescue services reported damage to the doorway and windows and were checking the building to ensure no one was injured.
