The body of a woman has been found on Seaburn Beach in Whitburn, Tyne and Wear, with Northumbria Police treating her death as unexplained. The force received a report just after 5am on Friday, May 1, leading officers to the scene. Police said they were called to the beach in the early hours, and emergency services attended and located the body.
