According to major media reports, a major drugs bust has taken place in Aberdeen. Police seized cannabis worth more than £600,000. The discovery was made while police were carrying out enquiries at a premises in the Crown Terrace area on Wednesday.

Police Scotland found a hefty cannabis cultivation within and obtained an official search warrant for the next day. The force went in on Thursday and recovered 762 plants with an estimated street value of around £610,000. There was no trace of anyone at the premises.

An investigation is now underway to get to the bottom of who is responsible, and how the plants came to be there. Officers say the find shows their 'continued commitment' to wiping out illegal substances which 'cause misery' in local areas across the country. ' The investigation continues, and police have not identified any suspects or persons of interest.
