Police were alerted to a residence in northeastern Gothenburg just before 8:00 PM, according to multiple reports. A security guard had confronted a man he believed was under the influence, and the man was about to drive away. The guard reported that the driver tried to run him over and broke a barrier.
" He added that the driver then tried to run over the guard. The man was also holding some kind of weapon or tool, though its type has not been confirmed. A large search operation was launched, including a helicopter, and lasted about an hour.
We receive a report from a security guard who states that someone has tried to run him over.
The suspected perpetrator was not found. " A report has been filed for aggravated unlawful threat, aggravated attempted assault, and aggravated violation of the knife law. The suspect's identity and motive remain unknown.
Then the driver instead tried to run him over and also broke some kind of barrier.
