Police in Skövde were contacted about a fraud attempt on April 7. A man in his 70s was led to believe via SMS and phone calls that someone had obtained his bank ID and that he needed to act quickly to avoid having money stolen. The fraud attempt was discovered when the man contacted his bank himself.
Police have gathered information from the victim and his bank. A report regarding attempted fraud has been filed.
