Agder police district said they received a report of the fire at 03:34 on Tuesday. According to operations leader Arve Johan Myklebust, as told to NRK Sørlandet, upon arrival several cars were on fire and the cladding and roof of an industrial building were burning. He added that there was a risk the fire could spread to a neighboring building.

By around 05:15, the fire service had the situation under control, Myklebust said. The fire was still burning but posed no further risk of spreading. Agder police district confirmed that five or six cars at the scene were completely destroyed.

When we arrived, several cars were on fire and the cladding and roof of an industrial building were burning. There was a risk that the fire could spread to the building next door.

No people were injured. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and it is unclear what type of vehicles were damaged or the extent of damage to the industrial building. Police have not said whether a criminal investigation has been launched.

It is still burning, but there is no risk of it spreading.
