A 40-year-old police officer has been sentenced to eight months in prison and will lose his job after pointing a loaded pistol at a craftsman outside his home in northern Västmanland, Sweden, according to SVT Nyheter. The incident occurred in April of the previous year when a craftsman arrived in the police officer's residential area to perform work. The craftsman reportedly approached the officer's residence believing that was where the work was to be done.

The police officer, who was off duty at the time, allegedly ran out through the patio door and pointed a loaded pistol at the craftsman's chest.
