Police in Sweden responded to reports of weapons-like objects in two towns on March 28. In Örnsköldsvik, police received a call from a person who reportedly heard loud bangs from a parking garage in the central area and saw someone holding a weapons-like object. Several patrols were sent to the scene, and one person was found, checked, and later released.
The area was cordoned off, and a preliminary investigation into a serious weapons offense was initiated, though no suspects have been identified. In Östersund, police were contacted by a member of the public who reportedly saw an individual carrying a weapons-like object. Police went to the location and checked a person matching the description, but no object was found.
Both incidents are based on initial reports that may change.
