A Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed that detectives are investigating a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010. The spokesperson added that police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne's CBD.
Ruby Rose, who was in her twenties at the time, first made her claims in an Instagram comment responding to Katy Perry's comment about Justin Bieber's Coachella set. Metro reports that Ruby Rose filed a police report on April 13, 2026. Katy Perry has denied the allegations through her representative.
