Key Points
  • Police asked parents to move children to safety in Molde due to fireworks and chants.
  • No violent incidents reported before the current match in Molde.
  • Heavy police presence in both Molde and Trondheim for the matches.

Before the match in Molde, police asked parents to take their children to a safer location near the playground at Sjøfronten, according to major media reports. Firework bangs approached along with shouts of 'Hate, hate, hate Molde city'. Children moved away from the Trønder train marching through the city of roses. After about fifteen minutes, the noisy horde entered Aker Stadion, one and a half hours before kick-off at 18:00. No violent incidents have been reported before the match so far.

Two years ago, several violent episodes were reported before a match between Molde and Rosenborg. A 14-year-old was kicked down with a kick to the back in the city center. A man in his 20s was punched down with a fist in the same place, and while lying down was kicked by another person. At the bus station, a man took a minor boy in a chokehold after the youth had hung up Molde stickers. At a gas station in the city center, a teenager in his late teens was headbutted. Police stated that all suspects were Rosenborg supporters and they managed to identify four of the five perpetrators, who received fines. This year, there was a very large police presence in Molde city center before the match.

I count three uniformed cars and one unmarked police car here now.

Meanwhile, Brann supporters are now marching towards Lerkendal. There is a large police presence outside Studentersamfundet where Brann supporters have been staying before the match against Rosenborg at Lerkendal. According to Adresseavisen, Frank Cadamerteri described that around 300 supporters are leaving Studentersamfundet around 16:45, with three uniformed police cars and one unmarked police car present. He also noted that some supporters threw fireworks on the ground as they were leaving. Supporters are walking up towards Klæbuveien, shouting and singing.

Now there were just some who threw some fireworks on the ground as they were leaving.
