Police and rescue services conduct training in abandoned buildings

Police and rescue services are conducting training exercises in abandoned apartment buildings in Bolagshagen, Kärrgruvan, Sweden. The buildings have long been left vacant awaiting a demolition decision from Norberg Municipality. The exercises include realistic smoke diving training, with smoke described as 'disco smoke times a hundred' to simulate conditions.

According to Veijo Rapakko, strength leader at Södra Dalarnas Rescue Association, this opportunity allows them to break doors for practice, which is rarely possible otherwise.
