The award-winning poet Nils-Åke Hasselmark has died at the age of 91. According to reports from his partner Laila Nygren to TT, Hasselmark passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by friends after a period of illness. Hasselmark debuted in 1957 with the poetry collection "Dikter över en brusten trädgård".
His latest collection, "Ingenmans strand", was published in 2024. He published a large number of poetry collections and received several awards, including the Bellman Prize from the Swedish Academy in 2024 and Sveriges Radios lyrikpris twice, in 1985 and 2025.
