Peter Forsberg has identified a talent in the SHL who could address a missing player type in Swedish national hockey in the future. Forsberg said Eddie Genborg of Timrå is a player who can physically dominate opponents, a quality he felt was lacking in the Swedish team that exited the Olympics in the quarterfinals. He noted that when Sweden won in 2006, they had Niklas Kronwall, whose physical play made forwards wary.
Forsberg views the future hopefully, citing players from the recent junior World Championship gold win, but specifically favors Genborg for his physical aspect, saying it would be fun to develop such players for Olympic teams.
