According to Trafikverket Västerbotten, work to build a meeting-free road on the E4 between Gumboda and Grimsmark is ongoing. The agency has decided to build a pedestrian passage under the E4 at the northern entrance to Ånäset, at road 739. The reason for the pedestrian passage is increased traffic in connection with the construction of Norrbotniabanan.
The exact timeline for the construction of the pedestrian passage and replacement road has not been specified. The pedestrian passage will remain even after the construction of Norrbotniabanan is completed. It will be built in connection with a replacement road that will also be constructed.
