Paul Townend has won all four major prizes in National Hunt racing this season: the Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle, Queen Mother Champion Chase, and Grand National. He won the Grand National at Aintree aboard I Am Maximus last Saturday, completing Jump Racing's Holy Trinity (Grand National, Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle) in the same season for the second time in his career, having also won the Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle for the first time in 2024. Townend, 35, secured victories in the Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle on Lossiemouth and Gaelic Warrior, and won the Queen Mother Champion Chase on Il Etait Temps.
