Sejdiu's contract, originally set to run until summer 2027, was cut short because Uta Arad could not register him in time, reportedly owing a debt to FIFA. The exact amount of the debt and whether Sejdiu received compensation for the termination remain unclear. As a Bosman player, Sejdiu is free to join any club and is expected to move back to Sweden.
He previously played 40 matches for Malmö FF and had loan spells at Roda JC, NAC Breda, and Östers IF. It is not yet known which clubs are interested in signing him.
