Sejdiu previously played for MFF, where he made 40 competitive appearances and scored nine goals, and had loan spells at NAC Breda, Roda JC in the Netherlands, and Östers IF.

UTA Arad is described as one of Romania's most successful clubs outside the Bucharest area, with six league titles and two cup wins. The club opened a new stadium, the Francisc von Neuman Stadium, in August 2020.
