According to major media reports, Abdul Said was seriously injured at a centre on Mile End's Bancroft Road shortly before 10:10 PM on Saturday, February 28. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Abdul Said was pronounced dead on March 5.
The exact cause of his death has not been disclosed. Yunus Uddin, a patient, was charged with attempted murder on Monday, March 2. Yunus Uddin, 27 years old, appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, where he was remanded in custody.
