A tribute ceremony for Jungåker will be held on April 30, 2026, in connection with Tre Kronor's match against Switzerland. The awards will be presented by Peter Forsberg, chairman of the Hall of Fame Selection Committee, and Anders Larsson, chairman of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.

Jungåker began his career in Tabergs SK, where he played for many years. In 1971, he helped found HV 71 and was immediately elected chairman, a role he held for 30 years. Together with Denny Eriksson, he built HV 71 into one of Sweden's most successful clubs, with the highlight being the club's first Swedish championship in 1995. Jungåker was also instrumental in the construction of Kinnarps Arena and served as general for the 2002 World Championship in Jönköping.
