Rune Hekkelstrand, operations leader for the Oslo Police District, said a security guard rescued the two residents, who did not appear seriously injured. Hekkelstrand added that fire crews were working to determine the extent of the fire. Emergency services also responded to a fire in a detached house in Asker, according to multiple reports.
In Nes, a fire broke out in a detached house with flames coming from the ventilation system, multiple media reported. The homeowner got out but inhaled some smoke and was treated by ambulance. The fire was extinguished by 04:43, according to reports. A separate house on Vormsund in Nes was left uninhabitable after a fire, which was extinguished around 05:00. The cause of the Vormsund fire is currently unknown.
On Steinsland in Øygarden, a house was fully engulfed in flames, multiple media reported. One resident got out on their own, and there is no risk of the fire spreading to nearby buildings. Police were alerted to the Steinsland fire at 03:06, according to reports.
