A dog named King from Östersund has been named 'Årets vintervovve' (The Year's Winter Dog), according to local reports. King, who is owned by Ulrica Bergström Sandell, reportedly spends his weekdays at her hair salon in Östersund. The dog is described as having 'double engines' and loving to run endlessly, but transforms into 'the king of calm' when accompanying his owner at work.
Local newspaper Länstidningen Östersund reported that when they visited to congratulate the winning pair, King greeted them curiously but without the expected energetic jumping. The award recognizes exceptional winter dogs in the region.
