Östersund municipality is reportedly planning a historic education investment with three new schools potentially being built simultaneously next year, according to local reports. The ambitious construction plan would see new schools erected in Tandsbyn, Häggenås, and on Frösön, along with what would become the municipality's largest sports hall.
Patric Bergström, a strategic planner for Östersund municipality who has worked for the local government for 32 years, described the situation as unique. "I have never experienced this before, and I have worked 32 years at the municipality," Bergström was quoted as saying in Östersunds-Posten.

Bergström is responsible for managing the municipality's school renovation and construction projects. The simultaneous construction of three school buildings represents a significant logistical challenge and investment in the region's educational infrastructure. The projects are scheduled to begin next year if plans proceed as anticipated.
