Östersunds IK has announced that four players are leaving the club after it missed the playoffs again. The players departing are goaltender Daniel Rosengren, defenseman Carl Wäng, and forwards Oliver Kandergård and Erik Thorwalls. The club finished 11th in HockeyAllsvenskan this season, one place better than last year, despite improving by 20 points.
According to reports, head coach Mikael Holmqvist, whose contract is expiring, is in talks to stay with the club. The announcements were made on the club's website and in local media.
