The permit is needed to travel on Drottninggatan, Storbron, and Storgatan during the parade, and it applies per vehicle, not per person, with at least one student required to be in the vehicle. The application and permit are free of charge, with a processing time of approximately five business days, and the deadline to apply is May 28.
Applications can be submitted on the Örebro Municipality website, requiring details such as registration number, name, and email address. Additionally, the parade must be reported to the police in advance to ensure a safe celebration. The parade route starts at the intersection of Änggatan and Drottninggatan and proceeds via Drottninggatan and Storgatan to Södra Grev Rosengatan.
To minimize impact on buses and other traffic, the municipality and police advise driving the parade route only once and following on-site instructions.
