The garden is located between the golf course and football fields, according to the municipality. Facilities include two beach volleyball courts, a boules court managed by Sörbyängens bouleklubb, a playground with a slide and buddy swing, a dog park for free running this summer, and an urban gardening area open to all. Ängarnas odlarförening oversees gardening and plot allocation.
The inauguration on Sunday, May 10 at 1:00 PM will feature grilled hot dogs, with members from the gardening association, boule club, and municipality present. Project manager Gustav Älgå said the garden is intended to be a hub for leisure and community activities. Development engineer Linnéa Nilsson emphasized the importance of easy access to everyday needs and social interaction.
