Örebro Municipality is offering hourly-paid nurses up to 400 kronor per hour to work this summer. The offer applies from June 15 to August 16, equivalent to a monthly salary of 66,000 kronor. According to Tina Hultkrantz, operations manager for home healthcare, giving an extra salary offer has proven very successful.
The municipality has made similar efforts before. Experienced and newly graduated nurses are welcome. Substituting nurses with more than six months of professional experience receive 400 kronor per hour, while those with less experience receive 300 kronor per hour.

Before this offer, it was difficult to staff summers, and the municipality relied on nurses from staffing agencies, which was insufficient. According to operations managers, the offer has strengthened summer staffing, allowing regular nurses to rest and recover. The base for home healthcare, night nurses, and the evening organization for special housing is now the newly built Hälsokvarteret Wadköping, located in the same building as Skebäck's health center.
Since last fall, special coordinators work within special housing and home healthcare.
