A new logistics building was officially inaugurated on Tuesday at the new regimental area at Tofta shooting range in Gotland, Sweden. The building has an area of almost 8,000 square meters, making it the largest building so far at the new P18 regiment. Until now, conscripts and employed soldiers had to collect their equipment in Visby, but now all the regiment's functions are gathered in one place.

Dan Rasmussen, head of Gotlands regemente, said this means a lot as it is the first time since the regiment was re-established in 2018 that all garrison activities are in the same location, facilitating logistics management and cooperation. Magnus Fransson, acting head of the supply department at Gotlands regemente, called it a dream come true to have such a fine workplace serving many needs at the regiment. The construction of the logistics hall took two years.
