A new bridge has been moved into its correct position in Härnösand, Sweden, marking a major step in a project that local residents are following with great interest. The work has now entered a final phase, with the bridge to be lifted so temporary beams can be removed, then lowered back down. The most difficult part—transporting the bridge through the town—has already been completed, reportedly going smoothly aside from one tree that needed to be cut down.
Provided everything continues according to plan, the bridge will be fully finished and in place by the end of the week. Public interest has been high throughout the project, with around a hundred people reportedly watching as the bridge passed a food court at Lidl early in the morning.
