The latest edition of "Blekingeboken" takes a closer look at the sports history of Blekinge, Sweden. The book focuses on sports over the past 150 years. It is published annually by Blekinge Museum and Blekinge Hembygdsförbund, which commissioned author Markus Alexandersson to write it.
Alexandersson, who is chairman of the museum and a former sports journalist, says the book is not written for sports fanatics but aims to appeal broadly. He states that sports history deserves more attention as it highlights important contributions by people and reflects society at large.
