Party secretary Helge Fossum confirmed the termination, stating that Frp has zero tolerance for such expressions. The remarks were made during a conversation with two TV 2 journalists at a bar in Oslo, where Hansen referred to Pakistanis as 'minus variants' and said they should not have more children in Norway. Party leader Sylvi Listhaug and others have called the statements racist.
Fossum said the party had a dialogue with Hansen since becoming aware of the matter and that Hansen understood the seriousness of the case.
