Norwegian coaching legend Nils Johan Semb has provided keys for how the Swedish national football team should stop Poland. Semb, who was assistant to Egil 'Drillo' Olsen in the 1990s before becoming Norway's head coach, praised Sweden's performance against Ukraine, saying it looked like a Swedish national team again with solid defense and good attacking players. He warned that Sweden must be ice-cold against Poland, stop Robert Lewandowski, and not get hurt defensively, as Lewandowski can decide matches on his own.
Semb, who was named Europe's best coach by France Football in 1999 and led Norway to Euro 2000, has followed Swedish football for a long time and has many colleagues in Sweden.
Sweden finally looked like a Swedish national team again.
Sweden must be ice-cold and stop Robert Lewandowski, who can decide matches on his own, while not letting themselves be hurt defensively.
Creating imbalance on the opponents' half of the pitch is crucial, as it was done before and must be done again.
