Ramirez, 30, has been with Växjö for 11 consecutive seasons but has been sidelined by injury for much of the current season, playing only five matches. He expressed interest in playing in Switzerland, stating it has been a consideration for years, but did not confirm the move, saying he could neither confirm nor deny it.

Växjö's sports director Erik Eskils noted that Ramirez typically delays future discussions until May and had previously considered retiring. Zug already features Swedish players Albin Sjögren, Tobias Gustafsson, and Robin Nilsberth, along with former Växjö coach Niklas Nordén.

He expressed interest in playing in Switzerland, stating it has been a consideration for years, but did not confirm the move, saying he could neither confirm nor deny it.
