According to major media reports, the chef worked for Neymar between July 2025 and February 2026 at Casa Hotel Portobello in Rio de Janeiro. She alleges she was made to work 16-hour days and had to cook for up to 150 people daily, including Neymar and his entourage. The chef claims she often worked until 11pm or midnight and on weekends, and worked through her lunch hour, despite an initial contract stating she would work 7am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 7am-4pm Friday.

She also alleges she suffered physical injuries from the job, including back problems and hip inflammation. The chef was paid £1,065 per month (7,500 Brazilian reais) and is seeking £37,544 (262,000 Brazilian reais) for severance, fines, overtime, breaks, damages, and medical expenses. A third-party employer who hired the chef on behalf of Neymar is also named as a defendant.

Neymar declined to comment to Brazilian outlets when approached about the situation. The specific evidence supporting the chef's allegations of overwork and injuries has not been disclosed. 8 million across the 2025-2026 season.
